SOCIAL SKILLS CLUB - MAY - Weds 5pm
3 weeks - Mixed age and ability
Service Description
Got a dog who maybe struggles with the basics when life gets a bit… much? Or you just want to set them up well from the start? Ideal for all ages, these laid back sessions are all about the real-life skills dogs need to cope in the human world. This isn’t a free-for-all play session. Instead, we carefully guide dogs through a mixture of: • controlled greetings • short social interactions • recall away from play • handler engagement • practising calm neutrality around other dogs + Work on other life skills such as recall or loose lead walking can be incorporated. Some dogs will practise interacting, while others may spend time simply learning to coexist peacefully in the same space. Both are important social skills, for puppies and adults alike. Dogs take turns interacting and breaks are built in to prevent overwhelm and over-arousal. Our goal is to help dogs learn that they can socialise appropriately without losing their ability to listen, think and respond to their human. Wednesday evenings 5pm 4weeks rolling classes The Paw Project, Newthorpe £80 per dog for all 4 weeks Spaces are limited. Payment secures your space.
